List of Ipad accessories (07/07/2011 updated)

In this blog, we would like to do a list and some review for ipad accessories that we have. We will keep update this blog if we get any new items.

Ipad Keyboard Dock: It's very handy for writing an email, chatting with friend or writing a blog. It is basically a key board layout with some special function key and a dock. The dock can charge an ipad and sync with computer. If you have ipad 2, u may think the keyboard dock is not suitable, we think that you are wrong. The ipad 2 works perfectly fine with ipad 2, except the position. ipad 2 is not completely fitted in the keyboard dock. As we tested it, it is not strong but can hold the ipad 2 pretty well. Apart from that, everything is fine. The special key in the keyboard is work fine with ipad 2. Therefore, we recommend this item to anyone who intend to use ipad 2 for checking email or do a lot of bussiness trip.

Ipad camera connection kit: Come with 2 type: the first one connect ipad with usb. Therefore, you can use this with camera usb or even iphone. the second one is SD card reader. These items are easy to use, just plug it in and everything is done. However, these adapters are just used for transfer photo only. It cannot transfer anything else. ( if you want to transfer any document or stuff like that, please use drop box app -  we will have another blog for ipad app).

Smart cover: a must for ipad user. it's trendy, handy, and easy to use. The magnetic snap is work perfect. the only thing is it cannot protect the back of ipad. You need to have another protection for it. In addition, it feature the wake and lock when u open or close smart cover. I think it is a great creative move from apple. It come with two material: polyurethane and leather. Both are look good with your ipad and of course leather is more expensive.
Price: 49 AUD for polyurethane and 89 for leather at any apple store.

Bose on ear audio headphone: great headphone for movie. Imagine this, you are at night and lie down in bed comfortably. There is an ipad + movie in front of you and you do not want to disturb anyone, there come a bose headphone. The bass is amazing for this. you get 2:1 channel which is best to watch movie. the headhone is loud and very comfortable. we tried to put it on 10hrs+ and it is still very comfortable. Good companion for movie lover.

Ipad 2: New way to interaction with daily life

Today, we would like to review another apple product - the ipad 2.

First, the ipad 2 is thinner than ipad 1 30% and lighter. This is a great improvement from apple. We already tried to hold a ipad 1 and it's heavy. With ipad 2, you can easily handle it. When you compare ipad 1 and ipad 2, there is a big different experience. However, because the ipad 2 is thinner, when handle it we can feel the machine is running behind. If you listen carefully, you can hear a little bit noise. It is unnoticeable if you just use it.

Second, the screen is big and ideal of youtube and movie. Well, samsung tablet 7" claim that, their tablet is smaller and fit in pocket which mean better than ipad. Nevertheless, the reailty prove that ipad screen size is better. It is easy to watch movie and youtube or play games. The screen is very sensitive which is amazing.  A little bit disappointment in ipad 2 is the resolution. Apple havenot upgraded it  at all. Well, we guess we need wait until ipad 3.

Third, Application store is not big but essential. ipad 2 can use app from iphone or ipad's application. We like to use and download app for ipad version because it shaper. iphone app in ipad will cause pixelate or too small. Ipad is very handy not only to watch movie but for news. Thegioivanhoa and tiepthigiadinh, touchgen is all amazing magazine app to download and view. we pretty impress with it. The magazine app is not only let people to read news but encourage people to engage with it. We love it.

In addition, Android fan said that People always need to buy apple app but it's free in Android. Yes, of course. and we still think apple is better. You know why? It is because apple app store allow people to buy will trigger a lot of developer to create and put up their app => more app and more things. With the store you do not need to buy, it is not encourage people to design any new. Android app store catch up with apple. May be, but when they catch up i am sure they will start to charge people. it is apparently.

Fourth, We just get 16GB wifi without 3G because we mainly use the ipad 2 at home. In case we go out, we still have iphone 4 with internet hotspot. Therefore ipad 2 3G is no need for us. With 16Gb you can have at least 23 movies James Bond (we just got it) - cost 10GB. 16GB is more than enough for us. If you are mobilize, always need to out for job, we recommend the 3G because it handy. You can always have internet to access. But remember this, even you have 3G you cannot make a fone call because ipad 2 cannot do it. You still can use skype though.

Fifth, Price 579aud with engrave. Yeah, we love our engrave. It make our ipad different with other. the engrave is free if you other ipad 2 online. It come and shipping in 2 weeks. so quick. Well, some people may find the ipad 2 a little bit expensive when compare to other tablet, but the quality you get is perfect.

Sixth, The smart cover is exciting. We actually got the cover before the ipad 2. haha. It is handy, protective and supportive. It create a perfect angle for ipad 2 to stand. It is easy to interact and handle ipad 2 with smart cover. It is  a great intervention. Oops, did i forget mention that it come with different material and color? It''s depend on your taste. We have a blue one ^^

Seventh, Again no flash for ipad 2. Wow.  a big big big disadvantage for apple. I believe that adobe flash is developing the flash program that will built in a future apple product. Let's cross a finger and hope for it.

In conclusion, ipad 2 is a great improvement of modern techonology. It is chaning the way poeple interact with computer and open millision of possibility for people in future. If you have an ipad 1, should you get ipad 2? No. My recommendation is wait for ipad 3 ( may be released on Octorber).

The Mummy 3: Entertain but a little bit disappointed

We love adventure movie. Apparently, this kind of movie can not get an oscar, but who's care. It always contain a great entertainment value in it. So go ahead and grab the mummy 3 with popcorn and coke. Enjoy a movie !!!

Well, first start with the character. Rachel Weisz is not in the third franchise. Why? she have to take care of her kids. She do not want to do anything with mummy but become a mommy. Big disappointment. We expect the Envy and O'Connel are the same. However, they are not. O'Connel is still there, jump around and be a hero but where is sexy Envy? Where is an lovely eyesight they exchange? Where is the love? Well, None. Maria Bello is on. she is not bad actually, but we get used to the look of Envy. She pretty good in acting a mommy of 21 years old son but not an adventurous Envy. I found the big twist in this movie and it make me a little disppointed. Jonathan is my favourite character, he act well and do a good job as previous part. Nevertheless, new Alex is terrible. We cant see the link between him and his father. He act like he is not O'connel's son but a friend. we do think there is a big room for him to improve.

Second, The effect is pretty good but not new. There is no effect that impress us. We do expect that in 2008 it should be something better. Instead of impress at CGI, we pick up something else. Han emperor transfrom become a 3 head dragon. WHAT? it's china and we do know that chinese dragon is totally different with english dragon. Chinese dragon has 4 legs and long shape and 1 head. 3 heads dragon is english version. Why on earth the director but the english dragon on? It is not make sense. With Jet Li in this movie, we expect some chinese kung fu mix in but what we got? a slow sword fight and take turn boxing. These things should be upgraded to make the movie more engage.

Third, the storyline is normal. We do not expect any great storyline in this movie. So, with us, it's entertain. That's good enough for us to spend couple of hours to relax in the weekend.

Do we suggest this movie? Well, if you are run out of things to do or movies to watch in weekend, this would be a choice. Even with some holes and gaps, it is still a entertainment piece for you.

Prince Of Persia. Great for Friday night

Late review for Prince of Persia, but at least we do it :D hehe. I got the movie early night and decide that this friday night just stay home and watch movie. And we do not regret with our decision. Prince of Persia is out of our expectation. Epic movie with great entertainment value.

We do know that couple of games can be transfered to make movie. For example, Doom was made on 2005 is a movie made according to famous game Doom. And so Prince of Persia.  We think Doom is terrible movie without any story. It is plain, soulless and boring. Therefore we did not expect Prince of Persia highly. What we wish is a great entertainment movie on friday night.

But what do we get? We get an epic movie with strong character and great scene. Oh did we forget to mention about great story line? Well Let's analyse this movie a little bit.

First, character is awesome. My boy friend played Prince of Persia and he said Dastan is exactly like the character in the game from appearance to characteristic. He is cool, charming and carefree. That's is a prince of persia. The princess is hot and sexy from outside to inside. The director is so intelligence in the costume and acting of this princess. She is smart and convince us that she do not need to show her body but still sexy. 10/10 for character.

Second, Story line is amzing. Well, first start the movie, my bf said:" the opening is like game". But after 5 mins, we was dragged in the story line until the end. Even my bf who already played this game, is convinced that the story is logical, creative and interesting. This is a big point for the movie - games.

Thrid, CGI is not too much but not too fake. We can see the Persian city with different sand effects. The movement of the main character is copied from the games but not too much. And this is a GREAT thing, because these special movements are just help the movies more interesting. It does not overtake the story line.

Friday night with your friend and family, struggling with the idea what to do? Well, you may try Prince of persia with glass of wine or beer. I guarantee that you will have a fun weekend.

Transformer 3: Carly has killed Optimus Prime.

Recently, Everyone talk about Transformer 3: Dark of the Moon. We are really exciting about it and actually give it some expectation. Well, We are a big fan of Robots, fighting and technology. However, we think transformer should do better than robot to overcome 2 previous partS.

Got a 3D tickets at Hoyts for today, we head of with eager and excitement. However, it is a big disappointment. As a title, Carly( protagonist's love interest) is terrible, dumb, soulless and unreasonable. She is totally annoying and useless. the story is long with unnecessary scene, disconnected and contain million holes. Let's us start with why transformer 3 is terrible.

First, everyone easily recognize that the movie is separated in half. the first half has a slow pace and non-fun jokes. It's too slow until we thought this is not a transformer 3 but the love story. When you started to think where is a robot, where is a fighting, where is a "cool" stuff, you will get it in second half. Full on. No story to back up, no thing, just fighting. It is a big disappointment.

Second, Optimus prime and bumblebee are normal. Yes, they are. After 2 previous parts, the CGI and special effect do not suprise us anymore. We actually think this movie invest heavily in the effect but forget the story line. We have discussed and both agree that this movie is totally different with X-men: first class in term of a balance between CGI and story. X-men: first Class has a well balance in story and effect. the CGI actually back up and enhance the story. With transformer 3, the story and effect are 2 parallel lines.

Third, the most annoying us is Carly. Rosie Hungtington whiteley is hot - totally agree. she has a small head in her shoulder - totally agree. she is acting - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, SHE DOESN'T. Every scene that she appear, is annoying. We are not sure about Rosie, but Carly is a dumb, brainless and slut. She tried to acting hot but the appearance become a slut. Some people think she better than megan fox but we do not think so. There is NO scene, Shia and Carly give a sweet talk or look. they look like love without strings. Common, you guys should do better than wear underwear and walk around the room. This actress is terrible in every aspects.

Forth, in the big chaos, Why does Carly still wear high heel? WHATTTTTTTTTTT? how come? why? ... speechless.

We love action movie. We love Optimus Prime. We love Bumblebee. But Carly has killed it ALLLLL.

X-men: first class

All movies are first published in america and last in Australia. We do not know the reason, but we wish movies will appear in australia on the same day as another countries. Recently, while updated our Facebook, we got a lot of recommendation from friend about x-men: first class. And it's Tuesday. It's mean hoyts ticket just 10aud and it's worth.

If you watched all previous x-men movies, you will find this newest installment is different. It is the origin of Charles Xavier and magneto. We do not intend to make this post become spoiler so, we will not mention about story line here.

After the movie, what do we like about it? Apparently, it is a story line (hehe). It is more logic and it does unlock a lot things in previous part. It is totally explain how and why Xavier and magneto persue their future in different direction. The story line is clear. For some, it may be linear but in our opinion, it is easy to follow and it is great for entertainment movie.

The cgi is interesting. Not much as the previous installation but it's adequate for enjoyment. In previous version, we found that the effect and cgi seem drive the story. We found the previous x-men were just a show case of film technology. But not in this new installment. There are a nice balance between the effect and story line. All of the effect are a spice for enhancing the story.

Last but not least the actors are great. We found that magneto is more handsome and cool. He illustrate the image of the anti hero who has a thinking and consideration. Xavier is a geek who eager to learn and explore. His image seem more about scientist than the power mind old savier version. Unfortunately, moria character does not played well in this movie. Her image become a background for all mutants. We believe that her role should play more because she is a first love of Xavier.

In conclusion, x-men: first class is the greatest of x-men series in our opinion. It contain balance story and great entertainment values.

iPhone 4 - the life style

We are a fan of apple. Yes, we are. Initially, we think apple product is a luxury toy. It did not improve anything but the image of people. However, when we purchased iPhone 4 it is a totally different experience.

iPhone 4 is one of the thousand smart phone in market nowaday. So why we like iPhone 4 but not the other? We would like to give a review for iPhone 4 and discuss pros and cons of it.

First of all, the retina screen is amazing clear for mobile phone screen. It is sharper when compare with other phone and even it predecessor 3GS. We have tried different phone at jb hifi and telstra but no one could match it. The retina give iPhone 4 the resolution 960 x 640. The highest resolution at the moment. Every details that display on screen is clear and sharp.

Second, the app store is ridiculus big. Million application that make iPhone 4 is worth to have. The apps really assist me in my daily life. In term of convenient and entertainment, We must give iPhone 4 10/10. From weather broadcast to check email, Facebook, etc. Everything is in your hand.

Third, the shape of iPhone 4 is more attractive than other. This is personal preference, We like angle and square, it is different with 3GS which curve in the back.for us iPhone 4 look more neat and simple than other. And yet, We like it.

Fourth, connection with computer. Other people said, iPhone is hard to use and hard to sync with computer. You can not control single file, etc. However, when We get used to it, I found it EXTREMELY convinient. The only thing We need to do is plug my iPhone 4 in computer and wait for it sync and that's it. It is hard to manage single file, song? I agree. But mobile phone or iPod is a personal equipment. You rarely share it with other, u do not need to copy singular file. Therefore, the sync feature is more convenient for us.

Fifth, the interaction is fabulous. With other fone, it is hard to control the page or touch exactly the point in the screen. With iPhone 4 we easy to swipe, zoom, touch, point, slide, shake, etc. with high sensitive touch screen. It is comfortable and never cause us frustrated when We used it.

Well, there are couple of things apple need to improve. First, iPhone 4 cannot use flash. Yes, it is a big gap, big disadvantage for iPhone 4. Even though the third party sky fire which create the app to compensate that, we just hope that in future apple develop and include flash player in their products.

Secondly, the price is a little expensiver than other phone. Of course, we need to pay for what we want, but if apple reduce a price a little more, it may be better for us. Hehe

In conclusion, apple iPhone 4 is not a luxury toy but it is a life style. It change the daily life pattern and add more spices for our life.
